8mm Men's Rings & Wedding Bands Australia

8mm is one of the most popular widths for men's rings. It's broad enough to show off inlays, patterns and two-tone finishes, and it suits medium to larger hands. This collection brings together every 8mm ring in our range, from plain brushed bands to Celtic, wood, carbon fibre and diamond designs.

Why choose an 8mm ring?

Width changes how a ring looks and feels more than most people expect. An 8mm band has real presence on the hand. It looks balanced on larger fingers, gives detailed designs the space they need, and feels substantial, which many men prefer in a wedding band they'll wear every day. If you've ever felt a slim ring looked lost on your hand, 8mm is likely the right width for you.

8mm styles in our collection

Two-tone and gold. Wide bands are ideal for contrast. The Dome Black 18k Gold Tungsten Ring and Black Brushed Grooved Gold Tungsten Ring show how gold detailing reads on a broad black band. See more in our men's gold rings.

Inlays. Wood, stone, carbon fibre and shell inlays need width to shine, so almost all of them are 8mm. Explore our wood inlay rings, carbon fibre rings and stone inlay rings.

Patterned designs. Celtic knotwork, brick patterns and engraving are easier to see on a wider band. Browse our Celtic dragon rings for detailed 8mm designs.

Simple and classic. Prefer something clean? The Black and Purple Line Tungsten Ring keeps it minimal with a single line of colour, and our brushed black and silver bands offer understated everyday style.

8mm vs 6mm: which width is right for you?

As a rough guide, 8mm suits medium to large hands and men who want a bold ring. 6mm rings suit smaller to medium hands, or anyone who prefers something subtle and lighter on the finger. If you already wear a ring you like, measure its width with a ruler and use that as your starting point. Many of our designs come in both widths, so you can compare them side by side.

Getting the fit right for a wide band

A wider band covers more of your finger, so it can feel slightly snugger than a narrow ring in the same size. If you're between sizes, we generally suggest going up half a size for an 8mm ring. Many of our 8mm rings have a comfort-fit interior to help them slide over the knuckle; check each product page for details. Use our ring size guide before ordering, especially for tungsten, which can't be resized.

Tungsten or titanium in 8mm?

Most of our 8mm rings are tungsten carbide: heavy, highly scratch resistant and built for daily wear. A few are titanium, which is much lighter and comfortable if you're not used to wearing a ring. Compare both in our tungsten rings and titanium rings.

Frequently asked questions

Is 8mm too wide for a men's ring?

Not for most men. 8mm is one of the most common men's widths and suits medium to larger hands. If you have slimmer fingers or prefer subtle jewellery, a 6mm ring may suit you better.

Should I size up for an 8mm ring?

Wider bands can feel snugger, so if you're between sizes, going up half a size is usually a good idea. Check our ring size guide before ordering.

Are 8mm rings good wedding bands?

Yes. 8mm is a popular wedding band width for men, offering presence and comfort for everyday wear.

Can 8mm tungsten rings be resized?

No. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, so measure carefully. You have 30 days to return your ring if the fit isn't right.
